HOUR OF MISCHIEF

Janet, the heroine of my YA Steampunk Fantasy novel, was born in a whorehouse in the slums of Fortuna. She lost her arm in an accident and was fitted with a steel prosthetic arm. She now makes a living stealing from the temples of the clockwork gods. But when she lands her team in prison, she makes a pact with the God of Mischief Itazura to save her friends.

The full summary is on the successful queries page. Pictured below is the main character herself, Janet Redstone with the new prosthetic arm she gets halfway through the book after a nasty encounter with a shape shifter assassin mangles her old one. She was really fun to draw and I think I captured her look pretty well.

The next picture is of Janet's bestfriend and fellow team member, Sylvia Cloud. She's a fun character who will appear a lot more in later books, but I decided to draw her.

And then my fingers slipped and I drew an experimental cover looking thing. Obviously not very professional but I think it looks fun. It gets Janet's arm really well.

And then the pendelum thieves. Pictured from left to right are: Sid, Janet, Sylvia and Parker

I'll try to draw some other characters soon as well! Comment and tell me what you think or with any other questions about HOUR OF MISCHIEF that you have.

  1. I just finished reading your book and I'm in love. Also, pictures of characters are adorable. Could you draw Itazura?
    Also, will you write sequel?

    1. You commented a long time ago and I just missed your comment and never responded. I'm sorry about that! Regardless, I have not made an official Itazura drawing yet though I intend to. The sequel is written but I don't know when it will be coming out yet! Still waiting on word from my publisher. Thanks for reading!
